The Chordaires Show Chorus of Sun Lakes was founded in 1979 to provide an outlet for women to meet and sing together. In Sun Lakes, chorus rehearsals have been opportunities for women to learn new music, to learn to harmonize their voices, and to build friendships for almost half a century. Whether it’s performing in a show, singing at various senior living centers or entertaining local community organizations, our goal is to provide quality musical entertainment while having fun!
We meet from October through March with weekly rehearsals on Thursday afternoons. Many of our members leave for cooler climates when summer temperatures in Sun Lakes begin to reach the triple-digit mark on Fahrenheit thermometers. Although the chorus is formally recessed from mid-April through October, informal activities continue on most Thursdays with activities such as informal lunches, (Hand & Foot) card games, crafts, virtual visits with the entire chorus, and music training via Zoom from our music directors.
The Chordaires Show Chorus of Sun Lakes is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization. Funding comes from member dues, donations, and grants..
The chorus's primary fundraiser comes from ticket sales for the annual Spring Show. The 2025 Spring Show is scheduled for 2 PM on Saturday, April 6, in the San Tan Ballroom at Cottonwood Country Club. More information about the Spring Show and ticket sales will be available here beginning in the Fall.
