Calling All Women Who Can Carry a Tune, and Sing on Pitch!
The Chordaires Show Chorus of Sun Lakes needs women who love to sing. The ability to read music is helpful, but is not required. It is not necessary to live in Sun Lakes.
Join Us The Chordaires Show Chorus is more than an ensemble of singers. We are a family who loves getting together to have fun and share our love for a capella music. If you like to sing, please come and visit a rehearsal.
We meet weekly from October until the week after our spring show (usually mid-April). Rehearsals/meetings usually take place on Thursday afternoons from 12:30 - 3:30 PM. The first half hour is for visiting and announcements. Each section has a Section Leader who holds a much shorter practice for her section during the week. These shorter practices are very helpful for learning your voice part.
What to Expect at Rehearsal First, you can expect a warm welcome from the members. Finding the right part for your voice is the next step, and the Music Directors will help you determine which part fits your vocal range best. You’ll sit or stand next to members who sing the same part to make it easy to follow along.
Sitting in on one of our rehearsals is the perfect way to find out more about us. You'll have the opportunity to experience our music, fun, and friendship, and determine if singing barbershop with us is right for you. Barbershop Voice Parts
